Well, we’ve been going on about the changes that we’ve done to the Press Module to enable greater flexibility in what the system can send via the XML feeds to our client’s public websites, so we’re really pleased to be able to announce the launch of The Great Escape’s new website, powered by WordPress and the Festival Management System.
All the news items and other general content comes from the WordPress CMS, the rest is all us.
Huge props to the teams at Grafik Media and Media Junction who’ve done such a sterling job with the integration.

So it’s Lovebox this weekend; 50,000 people watching 180 artists (Dizzee Rascal, Roxy Music, Grace Jones, Hot Chip…) on 11 stages in the centre of London. We know that everything will go smoothly, but still best of luck to Jools and all the team. Have a cider for me please.

Our first outdoor festival of the year, and it’s Britain’s Greenest festival – Wood. “The event runs entirely on renewable energy and aims to highlight green issues and through participation promote an ecologically friendly lifestyle“. Thankfully the organisers aren’t adverse to using technology to make life easier and, although it’s one of our smallest events, we’re still able to help them coordinate things.
Hope you have a great weekend, you’ve certainly got the weather for it!

Good luck to the lovely Kat&Co for this week’s Great Escape festival in Brighton. They’re not only using the festival system to manage the details of some 500+ performers, but the artist biogs, photos and stage details are all being fed directly into their website (to see it in action, click here).
We know that it’ll go like clockwork – and wish we were there!

Welcome to Truck Enterprises, the latest company to join the FestivalSystem’s family.
Truck are going to be running three events on the system, Truck and Wood (both in Oxfordshire), and Truck America, which will be held for the first time next year (2010) at Full Moon Resort, Big Indian, New York.
They’ve a different approach than most of our existing clients, being a small family operation with an emphasis on building a community driven event. We’re really looking forward to working with them and making sure that the system can benefit them as much as it does the more commercially driven enterprises.

Hello and welcome to The Great Escape, another festival that has signed up to FestivalSystems management software.
And another festival that’s going to push the system to its limits. The fact that the event isn’t in a field somewhere, rather they’re using a large number of different venues across Brighton, means that we’re going to have to be on our toes to ensure that the system can deal with this variation. They’re also going to be using the software to drive their public website – artist information, scheduling and stage details will all be managed through our system and fed down the line directly into their site. And there’s the conference too, so we’ll see what elements of the system can be utilised for that…
Oh, if you’re going to be attending, make sure you look for us. We’ll be there!
